Ballerina

I had so much fun photographing this lovely ballerina the other day! Not only is she really lovely to look at, but a personality to match! It is so much fun to do new things with people that are so interested in contributing to the session. The outfits were so neat, she is the lead in the "Nutcracker Suite", so I wanted to do some that looked a little old-fashioned. Fun, fun, fun!

"D"

Went to Regner Park with this cute little guy! I have been taking his pictures since he was 3 months old, amazing how fast time goes by.

Memories

Everyone has hauled out old photo albums or looked at a family portrait hanging on the wall. Don't the memories instantly fill your brain, bringing up all those good feelings that surrounded everyone at that time.

Doesn’t everyone start sharing stories about the people in the photographs, or the personalities of those people? “remember when Jimmy did this”, or “remember how Grandma acted when…”, or any of those fond memories and humorous incidents that happen in, and, for every family? And why does everyone remember these times so differently? But it is still so much fun to share them.

That's why its so important to take pictures; to have family portraits taken EVERY YEAR! People change so quickly. Even if you think you aren't changing, your hair and clothing styles change. Kids change the way they like to dress, one year it is super casual, only jeans; just a short year later they could be in colored hair or in dresses.

Your little boy that is shorter than you this year, may be two inches taller than you next year or the little girl that only wants to sit in daddy’s lap this year, may not want to next year. It is important to capture those moments (and memories!).

Remember that saying "a picture is worth a thousand words"? Well, if pictures are worth a thousand words, then surely they are also worth a million memories!

When was the last time you had a family portrait taken? Schedule one today, preserve those memories for tomorrow!

K family

It was so much fun photographing this great family! You can tell when families are close, and this family sure was. We went to Regner Park, which held special meaning to them because they had spent many fun summers there. Thanks for allowing me to share the afternoon with you!

Maternity sessions!

Watched this awesome maternity webinar last night, hosted by Sandy Puc, from Expressions Photography, in Colorado.

She had so many cool ideas, it was really exciting to get so many new ideas.

So if anyone would like to have a maternity session taken, and is 7-8 months pregnant, give me a call! I would love to meet you (and the new baby, lol).

What is so much fun, is we can do a maternity session now, and then when the baby is born, a newborn session, and then create a wonderful pictorial storybook. This makes a wonderful keepsake for both you and the baby, that he/she will treasure forever.

Ajla

Here is Ajla. She and her mother came to my studio for Ajla's senior portraits. I really enjoyed meeting them both.

Geez, I have a hard job, lol!

Thelen Family

Here are the Thelen's. I photographed "E" last year for his graduation pictures, and this year I had the pleasure of photographing the entire family. The love between them all is evident.

Schmidt Family

The Schmidt family came to my studio grounds for a family picture, and their little boy, "C" was so much fun. His enthusiasm was so contagious! Even with the cool temperatures. We took a lot of fun pictures.

I look so forward to photographing little "J" each month. He is such a cutie, and he has the most entertaining expressions. Some little people are just so much fun!
