Milwaukee genealogy class

I started a beginner genealogy class this past Saturday in Milwaukee. Although I don't really consider myself a beginner, it was still fun getting back into this interesting hobby. Since the class is only once a month, it will fit nicely into my schedule also. I am really looking forward to getting back into this again, since I really haven't been able to devote any time to researching my family history since I began my business several years ago.

McKee-Detloff wedding

I met with Jenny Detloff this past Thursday. We talked about her upcoming wedding on Oct. 11. Tim was busy with his farm chores and was unable to make it, but Jenny and I had a good time talking over all of the details for their wedding.

I can hardly wait until then to see them again. It will be so much fun photographing their wedding!

Local network group

Every month on the last Wednesday of the month, a few local photographers get together to just talk and see how everyone is doing. We can talk about almost any topic and it has really been a good time so far. We meet at Panera's for now and there has been an average of about 8-10 of us coming.

I really enjoy these meetings and hope they continue.

The Fox Family

Last Monday, an old co-worker brought her family to have a family picture taken. They were so cooperative! The kids were so well-behaved and had great smiles! Kudos to the Fox Family!

Here is a favorite of mine from that day.

Parker Klumb Go-Kart Memorial

I had the privilege of being asked to be the photographer at the Parker Klumb Go-Kart Memorial Race at the Slinger Speedway on Sept. 21.

The amount of time that was devoted to this event by so many people is really awe-inspiring, and all because of a tragic event, Parker Klumb's untimely death a year ago.

Kathy Fies was the driving force behind the event, and I honestly don't know how many obstacles she had to overcome to get it into place, but she sure did a great job.

They are planning on making this an annual event, and I would be so happy to be there again.

Here are a couple of pictures from this wonderful event.

Saturday Auction

Getting caught up on my blogging! Yeah!

Went to an auction in Allenton on Saturday morning. Haven't been to one of those in ages.

There was so many things there that went for such a low price, I couldn't believe it! Too bad I don't have a lot more space to store things, or I would have bought a lot more than I did. I went looking for some different props to use in photo sessions, and did find a really neat piano stool and another chair.

Ladies Night Out

Thursday night was "Ladies Night Out" at the Washington County Fair Park. There were quite a few ladies there. I set up a booth to display some of my photographs, and got a lot of interest. It is so much fun meeting everyone and talking to all of them.

There was also a fashion show and entertainment by Comedy Sportz. They are always funny.

All in all it was a fun evening.

Sydney

Little Sydney came in for her 6-month pictures on Monday. She is as cute as ever! Her parents are so nice too. It is so much fun to see how these little ones change in just a few months. Soon she will be all over the place!

Lunch with Diane

Monday I had lunch with my good friend, Diane (yeah, another one). She had to interview me for a class she is currently taking. But we had a good time over lunch anyway. I always have a nice chat with her. It is so hard to get together with her too, we both have such busy schedules! Oh well, grab them when you can, right?

Johnson family

Had the pleasure of photographing the Johnson Family last Saturday! Mary Lou wanted her children and grandchildren together for a family photo. We went to Waubedonia Park. There are so many nice places to take pictures there! Her grandchildren are adorable, and everyone was so nice. We had a great time.

Movies with my sister

Went to the movies with my sister, Beth. It is really nice to connect with your sister every now and then. We don't get to see each other too often any more. What a shame that our schedules are so busy that we can't get together more often!

We saw Brad Pitt is "Burn after reading". It was funny, in a weird sort of way. Not quite sure if I liked it or not. But of course, Brad Pitt was in it, so it couldn't have been to bad :)

Tyler

Another referral! Yeah! Tyler's mom is a sister to a student I had from last year. Tyler was so funny, he did not want to smile for me, even though he has a really nice one! Guys are so funny that way. Anyway, his mom, Kathy, Tyler and I had a great time. We went to Regner Park and then back to the studio for more pictures.
Thanks for a fun time, Tyler.

Jon Lee

Had the pleasure of photographying Jon Lee. He is from Greenfield and his mom, Paula, found me via a referral from a friend/co-worker. I had done the co-worker's son's graduation pics and Paula really liked them. It is so nice to have these referrals!

Anyway, here are a couple of samples of Jon. Love his hair!

Cody Kerr

Had a really nice session with Cody from Kewaskum High School last Wednesday (yeah, I know, I'm tardy with my blogging AGAIN! aargh!).

We stayed at the studio grounds, but I think we got a LOT of really nice pictures.

He has such an impish smile.

His mom, Janet, and little sister came along too.

I think I like this business so much because I get to meet so many nice people.

My grandchildren

Again, catching up! My grandchildren are soooooo cute! (As are all grandchildren, ha,ha). Sophia just turned 4 at the beginning of August, and Frankie is just 2 1/2, even though he is almost as big as his older sister. So, I had to take Sophia's 4-year picture. She is such a little ham, but I think her brother out-does her sometime. And then trying to get the two of them to cooperate for a picture of both of them was extremely hard. They were being silly. But here are a few of my favorites.

Dylan's 9-month pictures

I can't believe I have left this blog go for soooooooo long! This summer has just sped by. But since I just logged on and saw Dylan's 6 month pictures, I had to step back a little to post a few of his his 9-month pictures. They were taken on August 23. He is such a little darling and it is such a pleasure to photograph him.

Steve Chesler Seminar

Just yesterday I had the pleasure of going to a seminar with Steve Chesler from New York. We went on a photo session with a few models and I got to see how he works and poses his models. It was so much fun, I can hardly wait to try out some of them with some of my weddings or seniors!

The Fritzke family

On Saturday morning (May 17th) Amanda and Dylan Fritzke came back and brought Dylan's daddy, Nick, along! It was so good to see Dylan again. They came in for his 6 month picture. He is such a cutie, and has such a sweet personality! You can't help but smile when you see him.

And look how well he sits up already!

I can hardly wait to photograph him and his mom and dad again when he is 9 months old!

Lemke Family

I am REALLY behind in this blogging! HELP!

Anyway, will try to catch up in the next couple of days.

Here are some pics of a really adorable family, the Lemke's, John, Sarah, Jake, Claire and Cole. I met them last Friday (the 16th). I went to their home and I had so much fun with them. Jake was SO cute! The twins were not quite as happy to see me, but that was okay. Their parents were very good at getting them to smile and I think we got some really nice pictures.

The Korn family

Last night I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Patty, Scott and Royal Korn. Royal was so funny! And so much energy! Got lots of nice pictures, here are a few of my favorites from the session.

New Studio!

I am so excited!! My husband and I worked very hard over the past couple of weekends, and I now have a much larger studio set up in my home! Before I had a small bedroom as my studio, which worked, but it was always a little cramped in there.

The new studio is almost twice as big! It is SO nice to actually have space in the studio for the clients. I can hardly wait to take LOTS of pictures in there.

Now all I have to do is get my outdoors ready :)

2008 Heart Walk

Saturday, May 3, was the Washington County American Heart Association Heart Walk, held annually at the Washington County Fair Park.

We have been honored for the past two years to be the photographer at this event. It is always to wonderful to see all of the people that give up their Saturday mornings to come to this to help raise money for this charity. Actually they give up much more than just one morning. From past experience I know each and every one has spent a lot of time contacting friends to make a donation.

They had rock climbing, face painting and several games for everyone to enjoy the day.

Here are a couple of photos from this event, but check out the rest at my website, http://www.bentfieldphotography.photoreflect.com/.

Sydney

Here is an adorable baby, Sydney. She is so alert! Her parents, Sara and Andrew came along, we had a lot of fun. Got a lot of wonderful pictures!

Kristen

Photographed Kristen on Tuesday. She is such a cutie! She definitely has a mind of her own, but nothing wrong with that. We had a good time. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Paige's bridal session

Hi everyone,
I did a bridal session with Paige, a future May bride. It was so much fun! We were going to take pictures at Holy Hill, but Saturday was soooooo windy, we decided to just do the studio pictures. They turned out fabulous, although with such a beautiful bride, it wasn't hard :)

Here is a slideshow of some of my favorites from that day.

Day in the Park

Last Saturday (April. 19) my husband, Alan, and I took the grandkids to the park. We all had so much fun, and it was such a perfect day! We went to Ridge Run and Regner and Sophia and Frankie had to try every single slide and swing. In between we treated them to McDonalds, of course. Here are some of my favorites from the day....

Savanna

Here is a couple of my favorite pictures of Savanna, a little girl I just photographed. She is so cute! Her mom and grandmother came along and it was such a pleasure to meet them all.

Savanna was so adorable, I hope she enjoyed our visit as much as I did.

New blog

Hi everyone! I am so excited to have just started my first blog! This should be fun. Now I can share my experiences with all of you.

I hope you enjoy them.

Let me know what you like ( and don't like) about anything!
