Milwaukee genealogy class

I started a beginner genealogy class this past Saturday in Milwaukee. Although I don't really consider myself a beginner, it was still fun getting back into this interesting hobby. Since the class is only once a month, it will fit nicely into my schedule also. I am really looking forward to getting back into this again, since I really haven't been able to devote any time to researching my family history since I began my business several years ago.

McKee-Detloff wedding

I met with Jenny Detloff this past Thursday. We talked about her upcoming wedding on Oct. 11. Tim was busy with his farm chores and was unable to make it, but Jenny and I had a good time talking over all of the details for their wedding.

I can hardly wait until then to see them again. It will be so much fun photographing their wedding!

Local network group

Every month on the last Wednesday of the month, a few local photographers get together to just talk and see how everyone is doing. We can talk about almost any topic and it has really been a good time so far. We meet at Panera's for now and there has been an average of about 8-10 of us coming.

I really enjoy these meetings and hope they continue.

The Fox Family

Last Monday, an old co-worker brought her family to have a family picture taken. They were so cooperative! The kids were so well-behaved and had great smiles! Kudos to the Fox Family!

Here is a favorite of mine from that day.

Parker Klumb Go-Kart Memorial

I had the privilege of being asked to be the photographer at the Parker Klumb Go-Kart Memorial Race at the Slinger Speedway on Sept. 21.

The amount of time that was devoted to this event by so many people is really awe-inspiring, and all because of a tragic event, Parker Klumb's untimely death a year ago.

Kathy Fies was the driving force behind the event, and I honestly don't know how many obstacles she had to overcome to get it into place, but she sure did a great job.

They are planning on making this an annual event, and I would be so happy to be there again.

Here are a couple of pictures from this wonderful event.
